context , APHRA exert tremendous efforts to enhance and develop Arab
campaigns to provide protection through regional and international net
work. |

First
campaign
|
|
|
APHRA
participated in Arab campaign to set free the Syrian activist and
spokesman of Freedoms & Democracy Commissions Aktham Naisa 9 years
imprisonment in1992 . APHRA called on NGOs working in the field to
write to late Syrian president Until he was released by presidential
pardon on 2\6\1998. |

Second
campaign

|
In
cooperation with Arab and International HR organizations , APHRA had
launched several campaigns in regard to the Sociologist and founder of
Freedoms and Human Rights defenders in Syria Nazar Nayouf ,who was
arrested and sentenced to 10 years imprisonment and hard labor and
denial of his civil and political rights , APHRA delegation met Syrian
ambassador in Cairo due to Nayouf physical degradation . as a result
of continues international and regional campaigns since 1997 up to
30\4\2001 , the date on which APHRA sent a call for releasing Nayouf
to president Bashar Alasad And he was set free on 8\5\2001 . but soon
on 20\6\2001 he was kidnapped by armed group and solidarity campaigns
are carry on for his family face harassments and persecutions from
security organs. |

campaign

|
APHRA
waged
a solidarity campaign with the general secretary of the Egyptian HR
Organization who was arrested by state security for one day and
charged for his report on mass torture targeted Alkoshh village
inhabitants. |

Fourth
campaign

It
was led to condemn Sudanese government movements to tarnish Cairo
based Sudanese HR organization reputation for its report on slavery. |
|

Dictated
to release Tunisian citizen Khamees Kusaila during 20\11\1997 to
28\9\1999 , the campaign included signatures collection and solidarity
festival in September 1998 in morocco – Rabat. |

Fifth
campaign

APHRA led a
broad campaign to release Mauritanians activists Said Bo- Camara ,head
of Mauritanian HR Association , Fatima Moby , his deputy , Ibrahim
Walad Abty , general secretary for lawyer syndicate and Abu bakar
Walad Masoud , head of SOS , whom were charged and sentenced for 13
months and fined for establishing illegal organization . they were
arrested on 17 \ 1\ 19998 and released on 26\3\1998. |
